Dear Mini lovers,

Is there anyone around Cambridge who has an MPI running well? Mine isn't and I would like to plug my diagnostic tools in it to get the "live" values of a healthy one.
Cheers
Ben

I don't have a running MPI near you but I can give you the values you need

CTS in degrees C, should steadily increase from ambient temp up to 105 when the fan should kick in

ITS in degrees C, should be 20 to 50 on a hot engine, days like today its going to be at the lower end with the bonnet open

MAP sensor in kPA, should be 100 on key on and around 30 at idle, should increase as the throttle opens right up to 100 kPA (atmospheric pressure) with the throttle fully open

Lambda should been seen to fluctuate rapidly from high to low, 0.2 - 0.8mv

TPS expect 4.5 upwards

Throttle switch is either on or off

the signal from the cam and crank sensors are reference only, normally say OK on the SP kit

Hope this helps.

What problems are you experiencing?

TPS should be 0.4 at idle going up to 4.5 on full throttle.

Thanks, problem I have is that car doesn't go in closed looped it seems and is producing fundamentally different power and torque on different runs (same dyno, same day at Slark.

Thanks for figures Ivan but I have a snap on ethos and vacuum values are in mhg.
