They are referring to them as Minus. And I believe they did buy the moulds. Drop them a message and ask.

What happened to this topic? I seem to have run into a similar wall, ABS said the owner, a Shaun, disappeared a couple years ago. But... assuming alien abduction isn't real, it shouldn't be impossible to track him/them down.

Yes you are correct Shaun Dyson is believed to have the moulds. I have his Facebook, not got any contact though I dont think he uses it anymore.

Theres an active Facebook group called Miniminus.

Are you after a shell?

I am actually curious about this to the minus shell was the only chop shell i like. I didnt like the small windshield look of the sprint.

The later (Steel GTR Trickett Sprints) used a full size screen, the windscreen A pillar angle is changed to accommodate this, if a sprint is done right it shouldn't look like it's been chopped

I would actually be curious to see that one. All the sprint i seen just look like hot rods to me and that kinda kills the typical mini look. The minus on the other hand just looks like a lower mini.

Here's a link to Sprint that was recently done and even had the side seams put back on to give it as much of a look of a standard car as possible (not normally done in period, just the roof)

http://aston.co.uk/c.../mini/-/car1367

This is one of the first cars converted in the 1960's, the front is cut and mounted differently do it doesn't look too 'pinched' , the gap between the headlights and indicators is reasonably standard) a GTS

If you want the race look (which you probably don't from reading above) then this is a GTR converted in the late 60's which is completely de seemed and uses a full size windscreen

So you can make a Sprint look like a standard car, keep the roof gutter / two tone paint if applicable and no wheel arch extensions, park it up next to a full size Mini and let people try to work out how you have got the car so low !

Wow i actually like that GTS version. Was it only cut on the body line? And by how much? My only reference to how much sprint get cut comes from absmotorsport and they list it as 50mm from body and 50mm from the window area

To be a Sprint both the body and the roof must be cut, yes the cuts will be around 2 inches each
