Hi all,

Just wondering if any of you have ever done the north coast 500 Road trip in Scotty land and what you thought of it?? Good points/bad points

I'm looking to do it this year as our 'road trip' holiday but after doing a small European Road tour last year it's gotta be good or my OH will just moan the whole time :P

Would love to take the mini but not sure on reliability for the there and back journey (from the Midlands) and would also be going with pals in a focus ST and a Miata so my 998 might slow proceedings a bit :/ Still very tempting though....

Thanks!

Me and a few mates have been talking about doing it for a while now, I've wanted to do it for years. I've only been up as far as fort william in my old camper and it was stunning up there.

We go out to Wales now and then in a small group which is always good fun but I think the NC500 would be awesome over a few days.

Wow awesome pics, thanks for sharing! Beaut of a camper too! Yea the plan is to do it over a few days to make the most of it. Apparently it's only going to get more expensive (hotels/food/fuel along the route) and speed restricted as it gets more and more popular so now seems like a good time!

I have done this journey many times as a child ( family holidays ) and then in my 6th year at school in the school ford transit so its time to do this as an adult!!!!!

Have been working on my friend's B16 conversion for the last month so not much more to go and we will be ready for the spring.

one Zcars and a B16 going north.
