Hi guys.

I have a question. I am about to buy a 2010 R56 Mini JCW but I know from a lot of people that sellers get a mini cooper S and “transform” it into a JCW to get more money out of the cars.

Can you tell me if this is a real JCW just by looking at the photos?

Thank you in advance.

Hi, welcome to the forum, although this is mainly a classic mini forum.

Mini2, MiniTorque and TotalMini will be better for you :) hope all goes well with your JCW purchase.

Performing a registration check would be my first place to check having bought a 2013 JCW myself recently as the registration comes back as exactly what it is

That is not a JCW unless someone has changed the original sills for Cooper S sills, the wheels are also non standard. The white MINI in the picture is a 2009 JCW

No that's not a JCW. That's is a r56 cooper s lci. Someone has just fitted the JCW badge (in wrong position) and the calipers. I wouldn't ask on mini torque, I'm a member on there and they will slate you for a question like that. Mini 2 would be better
