Hi all,

Seen them on a few minis now, but still can't find them! There are door bins for the classic mini with fitments for speakers in them. Does anyone know where I can get them from?

Thanks

Steve

Hi, I have a set in my cooper sport which I think originated from a metro.  They are an exact fit for the mini door pocket screw holes and don't extend past the original shape so look like factory fit.  Found someone selling a set on eBay a few weeks ago but they seem to hold the money as they went for £80 (free postage though..lol)

Not paying £80 for 2 bits of plastic, that's ridiculous!

Was more for the info than the price :)....as with all eBay stuff prices change. I got a perfect set in black complete with speakers for £23.50 incl post

Decided to have a go at making my own after seeing the prices for a bit of vac formed plastic.

Whether it'll be any good or how easy it will be to cover remains to be seen, but I thought I'd have a go.

Looks to weigh about half a ton, probably sound much better though.

From memory the plastic bins sound terrible whatever speaker you put in them.

Iv been looking at buying a pair of metro bins for mine so I can move the speakers from the dash into the doors, then position the tweeters to the dash top....

Am in the process of building a box for the boot to house 2 x 6" Subwoofers, if they sound ****, I'll install my 12" JL sub instead, but will be in a bigger enclosure and ported too...

Or might make up a baffle for the 6" subs and install them in the rear shelf to save some boot space...

subs in rear shelves, they rarely sound any good.

What about a small sub enclosure under a seat or something?
