here some trail fitting with the charger on it

Attached File  IMG_2939.JPG   59.96K   8 downloads

this was the plan for the pulley for the charger but with some calculations it turns out it wil run 19 psi of boost and

that wil not last. i found this on a forum

Attached File  IMG_3217.JPG   32.03K   8 downloads

Attached File  IMG_3218.JPG   33.76K   3 downloads

Attached File  IMG_3219.JPG   30.82K   3 downloads

and this is a 80 mm pulley  with a final ratio of 10 psi, a lot better.

so i let something like that made by a friend with machining skills

de plate is 3cc

the original breather on the back of the engine is in the in way of the supercharger belt.

so i modified it, so it wil fit to the other side.

Attached File  IMG_3582.JPG   75.24K   3 downloads

the rest of the engine wil be painted too.

the yellow is a bit to yellow by my opinion but i wil leave it like that

im now waiting for the crank pulley and then the engine can be back in the car

here the pulley on the engine

Attached File  IMG_3818.JPG   67.15K   1 downloads

Attached File  IMG_3819.JPG   61.84K   0 downloads

for the carb inlet pipe i fitted a adapter plate for better fitting on the supercharger

Attached File  IMG_4173.JPG   24.32K   1 downloads

Attached File  IMG_4175.JPG   55.46K   2 downloads

so engine back in the mini for trail fitting

Attached File  IMG_4268.JPG   49.71K   3 downloads

the supercharger pulley was too close to the clutch cylinder

so i searched for a aftermarked cylinder that is smaller and do the job right

Think you saved yourself a lot of heart ache getting the manifold remade. Bet the first first one leaked a little.

Looking good

it runs al ready on a hiff44 carb needle bdd turbo needle

but it's not running perfect, i think because of the carb gets to cold

so after i have fixed that problem (copper pipe around the intake pipe on the coolant circulation)

it will run a lot better i hope

Nice Build!!!

any specifications on the engine? Standard pistons? - where did you get the decompression plate?

I am looking into a turbocharging a 998A+ draw through (or suck through) turbocharger

I'd ditch that idea if I were you and put a small weber on instead. The old wrapping the long inlet pipe with small bore copper isn't really addressing the problem
