Just use KHB10024 or MS45LATE, the 'reinforcement' is hardly worth mentioning and 1000's of people fit 13" wheels on standard subframes regardless.

i always drive semisliks and we have some realy nice corners in switzerland. I think the reinforcement is reqired.

people have been running slick on normal subframes for years. the reinforcement is not needed.

your argument is not valid.

But rover added them for a reason.

nothing to do with the tyres. or the wheel size.

because they added the stupid metal stops on the subframe to stop the rubbers moving as far. this required the strengthing adding to the subframe as it was not designed for these new impact forces. and this in turn lead to a new failure. radius arm shafts breaking.

im now in contact with simon and wait for the next batch of the reinforced frames. I can wait a few weeks.

i dont like the idea to downgread my mini.

If the reinforced frame is not available next month i will go with the standart one...

To answer the question "Where to Buy a Rear Subframe" the correct answer simply is the place that has the CHEAPEST GENUINE SUBFRAME of the type required in stock. Try Google, you may find one cheaper at a different supplier.

It is not the supplier who  you should be concerned with, except as regards profit margin. It is only the MANUFACTURER, and only Heritage frames are up to scratch at this point in time. The pattern parts almost all all need additional welding for safety as they have been skimped, and most need serious attention to the alignment as the pivot pin holes are not drilled accurately, amongst other problems.

You can see where he's coming from though, a lot of non genuine pattern parts available out there are absolute junk and are not fit for our minis.

The Heritage frame arrived yesterday from minispares. Thank you simon for the nice support.

But this stupid thing allready started rusting. so the new frame gets a sandblast,  zinc galvanize and a nice gold powdercoating.

All 3 rear subframes I had, 2 gen 1 pattern, all needed blasting and then painted properly.
Some also re-do the welds beforehand.

I slide thru corners in the SeeLand and Jura with no issues to the subframes at all. 😀

I had rust forming on my new subframe ( none gen )
Wouldn't mind but I paid extra for the powder coated option
I've just had it blasted and properly powder coated

My advise is don't bother with the so called powder coated ones as it's a sub standard coating

Also the e coat used on gen stuff ain't all that look for tracking in the e coat flat it back and you'll find rust
