Blew a fuse in the stereo the other day so I replaced it this morning. Whilst checking the wiring etc (used multimeter to check permanent and switch live) I noticed the head unit powers off randomly. It seems to Better when the hu actually back in slot on dash which is weird.
Checked all wiring and any unused have been safely tied off.
Any ideas?

Sounds like a loose wire somewhere. Did you find the fault that blew the fuse

I stupidly reversed the polairty on the battery without realising and smoked my alternator and blew fuse in stereo, everything else seems ok though....?
