60 amp minimum current may be a bit high for car bodywork.

Never heard of it and as Shifty has said the starting range is a tad too high.

About the right price for a clearance sale. The original 299 euros would be normal for an item of decent quality. Remember too that VAT differs between countries.

You may be lucky and find a cheap batch of MIGs in Aldi one of these days... Or not.

As stated above, not for thin bodywork.

I would advise doing some research into trading standards and such like before buying any electrical item from abroad. EU countries are afflicted with defective and dangerous foreign imports in the same way that the UK is, but differences in law and language make it much harder to discern between ripoff junk and excellent products. It is difficult enough just in the UK, with masses of defective goods of various sorts in circulation.

There are genuine bargains out there. This may be one, and hopefully is, but as always, caveat emptor. If someone has one and is competent to testify as to the quality, I am sure we would all welcome that.

Having said that, and as my MIG is broken, I might have taken the risk and tried one of these but for the lower current limit being too high. I am still deciding between cheap and cheerful and high end synergic pulse.

My opinion is cheap inverters are a waste of money, you need to pay upwards of £500 for a half decent one, for home use a transformer mig is more cost effective, more reliable and easier to repair. I would look at Clarke ones if on a budget,

But it's got to be better than my piece of junk of a SIP welder that I have, I might try it.

But if the lowest rating will not let you weld thin metal then it's a waste of money,
