I got a project 1990 mini last year and the wiring was abit all over the place and then i ripped it out without fully photographing it!
now im putting her back together and im abit confused whats what as this is my first mini.

I have bought a flasher unit ( the round cylinder with two blade connections on the bottom) and ive fitted that to a purple / orange and a green/brown? and my hazards work!

well the rear works great but when i plug the front NS the flashing speeds up?
and the OS side neither the front or side indicators work.

I dont have any indicators either? I tried connecting the flasher directly to the stalk input and which ever way i indicated all the previous lights came on as if the hazards were on...

im unsure if i am supposed to have a separate flasher unit for my indicators? or if i should have a Relay?

allso im not getting anything on my indicator dash light?

ive checked allot of wiring diagrams and not sure whats going on!

any help would be great!

Check the bulbs and the bulb earths to the front indicators. A loose screw on one of my bulb holders did some funny stuff to my indicators
