Just done the same and it was an enjoyable job.

I could do with a better sound isolation layer on the front bulkhead though.

I am restoring my MPI and I have made templates of the original sound deadening material. I am going to be getting some bitcumen sheets cut to the exact shape so it looks OEM.

I'm thinking of selling these as a kit, would anyone be interested..?

I did this on my blue one followed by closed cell foam. Certainly cuts down the noise and no more bangs and rattles. I'll be adding some to the pickup soon too.

Always been interested in this stuff but never thought it would actually do a lot unless every nook and crany was covered?

The bulkhead is the main part I would like to quieten down but suppose giving the floor would be a start...

What's the difference between the silver foil like sheets to the rolls of black foam?

They all dampen different frequencies even the egg shell stuff, just make sure you get closed cell foam (CCF) so it doesn't absorbe water.

Is it the same stuff that's in the Noise Killer kit? because I've been looking at that.

Not sure of costs yet, still in the planning stages!

I'm making templates for lots of parts like the floor/door/quarter sound deadening (I'm even getting the smalle holes put on the quarter panels!), the foam behind the fuel tank on injection cars, and the side foam panels on the inner MPI sills. Here's the rear seat base deadening for an MPI

so the silent coat will kill rattles and resonance - it deadens the panel. You overlay foam over that as a sound proofer - it helps block road and engine noise.

I've used this stuff in the past to good effect. Not as pretty to look at as Silent Coat but it does the job and is a lot cheaper too.
