Ideally you need a much narrower arch with the mounting points similar to the Sport Pak ones. I don't know what is available as I normally try to avoid arch extensions if at all possible. The holes in the wings for the extensions are, IMHO, just a further source of rust creation.

me agin haha.put solid mounts all round front subby now,re-enforced toeboard withe 150x120mm x2mm thick plates.top engine steady and ultimate engine steady.engine surely cant move now.but it is still knocking back when pulling off and reversing.checked ball joints, rack, arms all good.could this be an issue with the diff as the engine was a donor one and didnt have time to check it as i need car every day for work.

Could be a worn diff pin.
Hard to tell without seeing it.

Ho guys.just an update for anyone having the issues i had.had car on axle stands yesterday checking driveshafts etc.went thru everything.still no joy.BUT.while the car was still on stands i put one of the wheels back on,on tightening the nut i felt a bit of downward movement in the wheel.if i pushed down on the wheel brace while it was on the nut i could feel a slight play.felt behind the wheel whilst i was doing this and it was the bottom ball joint taper.now ive checked the ball joints themselves.all fine.greased etc.the taper looked good the hole looked good.it even locked in there but the downward pressure was unlocking it somehow.anyway put another hub on and now all good.so dont be fooled by good looking taper.lol.been a journey finding this problem but got there in the end and thank u guys for all your help.
