It's a bit dodgy, but I mounted the seat on the outside of the crossmember mount so the seat is more towards the centre, but that's still not enough.

the holes in the cross member are captive nuts so can't really do that, I would make some offset seat mounts. I'm going to on mine(not because of the same problem though just to get the steering wheel and pedals a bit more central to the seat.) I can do a CAD (cardboard aided design) of how I'm going to do it. and you'll be able to move the seat further back if you like.

That's a bit odd. Although before you go messing around with brackets and drilling new holes etc. The 2 seat brackets bolted to the cross member do have slotted holes. So if you loosened off the 4, 7/16" bolts you might be able to slide the brackets over just enough for the seat to clear.

Something I've just remembered. Normally on the standard seats the rear hoops tend to interfere with the tunnel when they are moved too far towards the centre. So might be worth measuring the frame/rear hoops of each seat to see if that's causing the problem.
