Hi all,
Something weird going on. My hobby gas bottle is full (new) when I screw on the regulator I get the high pressure hiss but when I open the regulator nothing comes out. I remove the regulator from the bottle, get the hiss again and I can blow through the regulator so it's not blocked, it just doesn't work when it's on the bottle.
Any ideas ?
Pete

The regulator is dead, ok when i blow through it but when on the bottle, the high pressure moves a valve and blocks the flow, a valve that should be held open by a brass pin that lowers when you screw open the regulator.
I pulled it apart to see what was going on.

I've just ditched the hobby bottles, much cheaper to go up to a hobbyweld size and proper regulator, I always find the little bottles run out in no time at all.

I would love to but here in France, air liquid has the monopoly and it cost a fortune,
