Can anyone recommend the above? It will be overkill as I will be painting with celly but as I will be sitting inside the car to paint it I thought I would treat myself to a complete system. I do remember seeing the filters many years ago attached to a belt you wear. I have no experience in setting this up so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I wouldn't use an air fed mask if you don't have a commercial air drier fitted to your compressor ( not the inline type ) as an old oily compressor isn't good for the lungs ! And the carbon filter on the belt may not be up to it .
I have used air feds for years and contrary to belief they need good air going in !
I would buy a 3m paint mask ---vapour respirator or similar

I setup for airfed as paint in 2k, I bought a devilbiss mask that has the carbon filter in belt regulator, I also have a 5 micron filter after compressor then a coalescing filter. The air compressor must be away from any fumes ideally in a different building, I have mine in garage next door. Then as for the compressor itself a mask works a 3hp Clarke industrial very hard on its own, I use a devilbiss sri touch up spray gun and only do 20 minutes spraying then clean up, if you want to run a mask long periods you need 2 compressors. Not really worth it for cellulose as a good filter mask properly fitted is all that's required. My mask and filters came to over £300 and then you have to add in the compressor.

I was looking at:

 and

and a separate 14.5cfm air compressor setup outside. Would that do the trick or do I need more?

I used the Devilbiss set up for over 30yrs both in and out of Spray booth, sometimes 5 days a week

compressor should be up to job but HVLP guns need a fair bit.

Just make sure compressor is away from spraying area!

Thanks, also looking at this as a separate compressor for the mask:

http://www.sgs-engin...-air-compressor

Would this be a powerful enough setup? Bare in mind I will only use it for the Mini and possibly my Spitfire so it will have limited use but I want to be able to rely on it.

Thanks

Just some feedback for future questions, decided to go with a devilbuss pro setup with two stage filter plus the charcoal filter taking it down to 0.001 I believe. Kit looks good will be testing this shortly.
