I'm busy restoring my 1973 Clubman for the summer and am not sure which colour to go for. I'm leaning towards tartan red with old English white roof but the wife says it wouldn't look right on a Clubman. I love bright colours and have thought about a nice bright orange but still not sure. I know that I definitely don't want purple or metallic. I'm tempted to keep it a standard colour but then again.
Suggestions please.

Yeah something period and no contrasting roof for me, not on a clubby, I think Applejack would be cool too!

The colour I've always fancied for a Mini, but have never done it, is Jaguar metallic ruby with a sand-gold roof & wheels. In fact Rover Nightfire red with a gold roof might look great.

Please please please, pick the colour you want... not what others want.

If you want a nice bright orange, do it. Don't have regrets, its a load of work later down the line when you're not content.

I spent a long time choosing a colour for my car. Go with your instinct, it's your car. I wanted something that was a BL colour, ended up going for Bracken which was an earlier colour than the year of the car. I like it and look forward to driving it one day.

Good luck.

Gambier Turquoise is a great eye catching colour, I don't know if it was ever used in the UK (not likely), but was a factory colour in aust on the Clubmans and Mokes during 1971 to 1973 period.

Black Tulip is a nice period colour. Blaze is good too, and there's a nice Aqua that I used to see on a neighbour's Clubman when I was a kid

See http://www.theminifo...-for-a-clubman/ for some more ideas
