Ive had a look online as to where to put axle stands on the front however where people have been putting their stands my jack blocks where the stand meets the floor, in the photo ive got the pad as far forward on the subframe as i dare take it, where would you guys suggest putting my axle stand?

I jack my car as far towards the front of the car as it will go, there's a small D shaped flange under the inner lower arm that I use, gives plenty room for axle stands or bricks.

I prefer to use half breeze blocks, then a 2x4 timber across them so that there is no damage done to the floor

Is that where the toe bar attaches?

On the front subframe, where the lower suspension arm connects to the subframe there's a horizontal area, perfect for a jack... I've used the tie bar mount in the past too.

Jack in from behind the wheel then place the Jack from the front.

Or just Jack it up as you are now and put the stand on the other side.

Or as many people have done for years a spreader plank across the sump and lift away.

Done this once, wont do it again, I wasn't happy with the amount the engine mounts moved....

It does take a bit of placement, but if you get the jack as far forward on the flat part of the subframe as possible. And then the axel stand behind it.

I must admit that I am guilty of on occasion just to jack it under the sump.

Then I would suggest your mounts are in need of replacing.

Will just leave them, they didn't actually move all that much but best to be safe than have a wrecked box ;)

I use a specially made wooden board reaching from the left to the right side of the front floor. It has two short thicker boards on the left and on the right so that the exhaust will not be touched. Than I jack the car here. So you can use  axle stands in front.

If I am starting on the front right, due to the low kit on the front, I turn the steering full lock to the left and put a trolley jack in behind the wheel and lift on the rear sub frame mount where it joins the floor pan, jack up and when high enough, put an axle stand directly below the bottom suspension arm, on the sub frame. Then repeat on the nearside...

Also a possibility to go on. I do not like to put the jack there, because it loads extra weight on the mounting at the firewall. But everybody finds its own solution.
