Does anyone know of any manufacturer that still sells kit shells ? Midas, marcos etc etc. I can only really find people selling complete cars. I already have a fully functioning car so have no need for all the extras.

ABS Motorsport do shells in fibreglass or carbon fibre but not full kits like back in the day when Bob down the road build a shed (in his shed....).

Marcos Heritage still manufacture shells, not sure what the waiting time is like though.

Midas are still around http://www.midascars.co.uk/index.html but it appears all their kits these days are Metro based, I think the club has the moulds for the original cars which were Mini based.

Pretty sure the moulds are for the MK3, ie metro based type.

Easiest option to get an existing correctly registered variant, then build to your tastes.

Hambly sports cars are in the middle of applying for the IVA (?) for the GTM. He is building my new chassis for my 71 GTM at the moment. He is also looking at re-making the original Cox Front end. Give him a call.
