Hi

Ive put together a VBA with a start/stop recording button which records using the computers microphone.

Is it possible to log the timings of any noise over a certain db whilst recording?!

I cant work it out!

thanks

I can't say for certain that this isn't possible in excel but I would look to use a more appropriate tool if there is one or write a quick console application to do it.

If you need to analyse the decibels in excel then you could possibly output the levels to a CSV file and then graph in excel.

Thanks for the reply. What is a quick console application? Haven't heard of that before. to be honest I don't mind how it's done as long as it works :)

Thanks

A console application is an executable interacts other a user via a console, with user interaction via a series of textual prompts and responses.

It's a kin to the old computer terminals of the 70's and 80's.
