I think this is a sensible approach as any problems with the running of the car will be down to the last piece of wiring removed.

since last time, i managed to fit the whole wiring loom in the car and well hidden for the most part, car turns over but i still need to fit the gas tank and sending unit, next i fitted my omp seat and moved the gear selecter over for a nice snug fit as well as fitting my slider stick. and finally this evening i fitted the vw heater core in the back seat, was the only place it would fit, very excited to have a heater that will work!!

Similar tank to mine, I had contemplated cutting a hole for a factory pump and sender also but decided to get an external pump to easy accessibility.
Looking good tho!

Yea cutting the whole was the scary part, i was scared to ruin a new tank real quick haha, i really wanted to use the factory vw pump and it works the gas gauge nicely. Had to go for it!!

How many gallons is that fuel tank?
Heater in the back seat...interesting.......
Its a 10 gallon tank i got on ebay.
Yes the heater is in the back seat. I couldnt get it to fit behind the dash and i deff wanted an upgrade from the mini heater box, something with more blower action. But the long coolant hoses worry me as it might lose heat temp in cold conditions. Also i took the A/C part out of the heater core and jb welded the 2 halfs back together hahah
