Hi all, I'm new to the forums so hi to everyone!

My wife previously owned a Mini Cooper (not the Cooper S), which we traded in for an Audi TTRS.

We have since had a baby and needed a family car, and knowing how much we loved the Mini Hatchback, we opted for a Mini Countryman. We went for the Cooper S All 4 variant, which we think is a really nice drive, and very practical for a family.

After doing a little photoshoot I finally got the car on Top Autos. Just thought I'd show it off a little bit and see what you all think:

Thanks all!

Hi, as nice as your new car is this forum is dedicated to the classic mini. You'll probably find a better reception for it on a BMW MINI forum such as mini2.com.

It's not a problem, we're still stuck trying to build the classic mini in a way in which it should have been assembled in the first place i.e. correctly. 😊

I have a cooper diesel. It's great. The fuel economy isn't what the dealer says...

Space wise I have 2 kids and associated stuff fits no problem..

Yeah the Cooper S Countryman is still the 1.6 Turbo Petrol. It's pretty nippy for such a bulky car. I think they've done a good job as it feels like the hatchback we had with all the space and convenience of the 4x4. Obviously the hatchback is still the better drive.

Apologies to all the classic mini drivers here! I do love the original mini, but with a baby we wouldn't even fit the baby in the back let alone his buggy :D

No need to apologise, but perhaps you can provide the moderators with some feedback.

During the registration process you were asked the following

Registration Question *

The Mini Forum is for owners and enthusiasts of the classic Mini. What year did the classic Mini cease production?

What more could we do during the registration process to make this clear?

Make that in really big red writing.

What year did the classic Mini cease production?

Because of the high number we are getting on the forum I think its safe to say that having answered the question the posters are not realising it applies to them (don't ask me why?). I think the question should be extended to state "and if your BMW MINI was registered after this date this forum is not designed for you"

The BMW Mini (known to us as the BINI) is a super, modern, mid-sized car. It had unique styling which has echoes of the original Classic Mini. Some feel it should be called the 'MAXI', but let's not go there  :D .

Love the new mini's. Tempted by an s works once I'm back in the country!

With regards to the registering, it should be a single screen with the the phrase 'this is a forum for classic 1959-2000' Minis. Do you understand?' Then a yes or no box. No takes you to the home page again, yes goes to registration :)

Maybe it needs further clarification, not for BMW Mini owners or something??
