Hi, has anyone had experience of using this repair panel:

https://www.minispar...px|Back to shop

Was thinkng of using this panel with the boot lip repair panel. There is also the genuine repair panel for below the lights but that is near £200!

Any advice welcome....

I know shifty on here uses them, personally if the whole hinge panel and these have gone then seriously consider the more expensive option especially if you are not too handy with panel work.

Obviously budget plays a huge part as well.

Just to add become a TMF+ member (its a fiver per year) and get discount from Minispares, M Machine etc. That will help to take the sting out of any major purchases.

Thanks for the tip, I wasn't aware about this membership so will join. I will need a fair bit soon so hopefully it will help a bit :-)

I got that repair panel, it's a load of crap! wrong shape, feels too thin etc.

I'm biting the bullet and getting the half back panel. I have quite a lot of rust between the parcel shelf and back panel and the only way to sort properly is to replace it. Also both my corners where the bumper bolts through are buggered (accident damage and a lot of filler on drivers side), just quicker and easier to replace the whole lot!

I also fitted the half panel and it was easy to fit and not a lot more than the heritage hinge panel, another advantage is any joints are behind the pillar trims so looks neater inside the boot.

Yep, I would also always do this. It also helps to solve the common blistering on the bottom of the rear window lip.

Isn't it something stupid like £25 more than the bottom piece?
