Hey all,

New to the external hinge thing, and I am not quite sure how to attach the inner and outer a-panel to each other.

Do I weld them along the lip?

Can I epoxy them together?

Any help/advice would be appreciated

Spot weld them along the wheel arch line and along the seam where the wing joins.

Hope this is right anyway, it's what I've done!

Yes that is correct, only thing I would add is get door fit right while fitting them and fully bolt up hinges to pull them together before welding inners, the inner ones are spot welded to inner wing and the outers are also spot welded to the inner wing on the lip inside door opening, I found the m machine outers with door post the best and easiest to fit.

this is a fun one. make sure you "dry build" everything! ie wings bonnet door and door lock and seals. clamp and tack once your happy with the fit. by moving the A panel in or out top or bottom you will adjust the doors final position. this is one reason why when you look at the cars at shows many outer hinge cars the doors stick out at the bottom becouse the A panels have been rushed and not fitted correctly. good luck and take your time, dont forget to prime between the panels.

Yeah, the guys above have it right, I did as they have said... it's a pig of a job though. I'd always wanted a mk1 for those hinges (amongst other things) but they really do make things more difficult.
