Has anyone got any experience with one of these? Picture on the site is awful and have searched but can't find anyone with one.

Seems way cheaper than I would have guessed aswell which normally means something's up....

And a certain MOT failure, as well as needing to pass IVA if it is a road car and you hack bits out of the monocoque.

The steel rear bulkhead has a massive effect on the torsional stiffness of the shell. So might a good CF replacement, but only if it was bonded in correctly, and that really needs factory conditions.

Why bother?

So no one has experience of them then?

How is it a fire hazard?

Ever put a flame to any CF or GRP?

Try it.

Even more fun if you have the odd bit of petrol about.

So no worse than cf/grp door cards, boot lids, doors etc etc?

Or my GRP shell!

That said, if it is a CF replacement for the steel there's no way you'll get it in and bonded without either a huge amount of work, or screwing the shell up.

Wasn't this part of a range of carbon fibre 'dress up' parts they developed in conjunction with one of the magazines for one of their project cars a few years back. It's just an overlay for the bulkhead not a replacement - they sell a similar panel to cover the front floor pan as well.

It's not a major fire hazard. It's certainly less combustible than most interior trim!

So what is the point of spending money to add unnecessary weight and maybe add a minor fire hazard? You could achieve more for less with some furry dice.

Because that's what makes a Mini, all the different extras we can add that makes it one of a kind.
If you ever do all the things to your Mini (if you ever get one) that you say you are going to do, be prepared to be blasted.

So is 90% of things people buy for Mini's doesn't mean there's not a market for it
