"All types of Mini (including the modern BMW) are invited to this annual event, so expect displays in all areas of the Museum site. From the oldest to the newest, this year’s event will see some of the earliest examples nestling among hundreds of Minis and their variations including vans and pickups. As always Test Hill will be in action (subject to weather).

There will be a variety of trade stands offering mini parts, spares and memorabilia."

Getting Here

Minis will enter the site via the Campbell Entrance off Brooklands Road, with visitors in non-Minis parking in The Heights off Wellington Way - please follow event signage. Free car sticker for the first 1,000 minis.

Update below on what changes visitors to the next 'Brooklands Mini Day' can expect to see.....

The Finishing Straight
"With the Hangar completely dismantled, we are now able to confirm that substantial areas of the original surface of the Finishing Straight have survived the last 76 years in surprisingly good condition under the Hangar's post-war floor.
These latest pictures show the incredible structure of the WWII Bellman Aircraft Hangar at the Museum in its original location before its final phase of dismantling which has now started. This is a crucial stage in the Brooklands Aircraft Factory and Race Track Revival Project which will see the Hangar relocated and re-displayed inside to tell the 80 year story of aircraft production at Brooklands and reveal and re-join the section of Finishing Straight that it currently sits on."

"In 1940, due to the need to increase aircraft production in World War II, the Bellman Hangar was constructed across the Race Track’s Finishing Straight. The Hangar remained in place following the war, obscuring the iconic view where racing history was made and making it difficult for visitors to connect the Banking with the Clubhouse and Paddock.
The Finishing Straight is now a Scheduled Ancient Monument, but remains divided by the Bellman Hangar. This project will finally reunite the two sections and restore its relationship with the other historic elements of the site.
The reunited Finishing Straight will provide a venue for large-scale events, reminiscent of those which attracted the huge crowds that gathered on race days in the 1930s, and provide a stretch of track for riding in or driving pre-war motor cars and for engine runs of aircraft from the Flight Shed."
