Loose Hi-Los

Best Answer nicklouse , 10 March 2017 - 03:26 PM

Have you still got the standard shocks? If so you'll need some lowered ones. Current ones are bottoming out

nope they will not bottom out but the are still extending the same, shocks for lowered cars are shorter so do not extend as far so the rubber/hilo/trumpet do not go loose. but the only compress to the same level as the internal bump stop is at the same point. (or should be).

Hey all,

Fitted a set of hi-los all round a while back but slowly been dropping it lower and lower.

Now I've got it to the height I want when I Jack the car up the trumpet and donut are loose and wobble around.

When I drop the car back down it all sits nice and tight but didn't know if anyone has a similar problem and had a way to stop it wobbling around? If not I'll carry on just eying them back in when releasing the Jack.

Much ta
Matt

I have the same problem! No idea what's wrong or how to fix though :(

I'll be keeping an eye on this!

I've just swapped my standard shocks for adjustable damper ones within the past week or so!
I'll have to just eye it in for now and then fit lowered ones soon.

Cheers lads

I had the same with mine just recently, went a bit too low and every time I jacked the rear up the hilo was all wobbly. Fitted some gaz lowered shocks and now once jacked up everything stays in place, nice and firm :)

It's all fun and games :P

Just out of interest, what adjustable shocks you got at the moment?
