I want to add 13" wheels onto my 1987 austin mini mayfair

I was thinking of putting group 5's on there. I know I will have to modify the shell to do this but I wanted to know if that means the bumper will have to be cut down as well?

The mini's having its interior done right now so I only have some pictures of the exterior on my phone and can't tell from the angles if the chrome bumper will restrict bigger wheels or not.

Can anyone advise?

Bumpers will be fine. Front arches will need to be trimmed. There's a pattern on Minispares' website.

There is very little difference in diameter of all the wheels.

How much and where you will need to cut depends on tyre width and ride height.

Note the cars with 13s had raised suspension and less movement on the steering rack. KAD do a spacer kit to modify a standard rack.

Ride and fuel economy will be worse.
