Hi guys I've got a 2007 cooper s which I got from a friend he was aware the high pressure fuel pump was playing up. But for a month we me drove perfectly then tonight I put it in reverse and she struggled and cut out ?
I told this to the recovery and they agreed with the fuel pump issue just wanted to keep informed and see if it could be anything else ?

This forum is for the original "classic" Mini. Try Mini2.com or another for the BMW MINI.

If it was one of ours, the first thing you be told  to check is the inertia cut out switch - no idea where that'll be on your car, if it even has one, google or your handbook might.

From the info you've given it could be the pump or just coincidence and one of many other things. A Garage with the plug in diagnostics kit will likely be able tell you.
