It is always good when another supplier of junk and tat bites the dust! The Mini community are better without them and their useless, bordering on dangerous, products. I have to wonder if it was product liability insurance that killed them. The same problem may well finish off quite a few suppliers, including those who sell unsafe wheel bearings etc.

Have you ever seen those springs in real life?
How many minitastic springs have you ever heard/ seen breaking?

Those look like huddersfield springs to me.
If you're 100% sure they're minitastics I'd like to see how they ( minitastic company) handle this.

Isn't the minitastic company dissolved? I didn't install them, previous owner did. The only marking is sp 3421... so idk for sure

Yep, sounds like huddersfield to me. Minitastics are tagged. I got the contact number of minitastic if anyone wants it. Their site is down, but they still sell their products over email ( or did 2 months ago).

You probably have these springs: http://www.minispare...r-classic-mini/

They're known for breaking sadly. Huddersfield gots a friendly customer service, but this is just a very bad product.

It would really help recoup some of the cost of swapping out for cones if nothing else lol.

1 you did not by them.

2 one of the most mentioned companies in regards to issues.

I wouldn't want to put the huddersfield springs on my car, even if they gave a replcament... Imagine it snapping in trafic.

And I'm one of those guys who isn't 100% against springs, I liked my minitastic springs for the very soft ride they gave while having hernia/sciatica pains.
Drives like a 2CV though.

OH, I wouldn't be putting them back on lol. I know I didn't buy them, but a lot of good companies stand behind their products enough that they don't care who bought them... if the product broke, they will replace it. Dusky said they had a very friendly customer service, so I was just asking if they were the kind of company replace a defective product or not. If nothing else, It would be nice to have a new spring to put on a shelf... even if it never goes on the mini, a clean one would be a cool paper weight.

Lol
