Which pipe goes on which part of the heater box/matrix?
I didn't take a picture before I took them off.
1 straight pipe, 1 shaped pipe.
Cheers

If you mean the water pipes doesn't the length dictate which one goes on which side?

Interesting I made the very same mistake so will be watching this with interest.
However I think it is in from the water pump to the heater at the bottom and out to the control vale at the top.

That's how the pipes fit best:
In at the bottom of the heater from the water pump. Out at the top of the heater to the control valve.

there seem to be a few different connections from what I remember.
but the feed should go in to the bottom of the matrix and the return out of the top.
this aides self bleeding and reduces air locks.

Mine are front and back rather than top and bottom and in the passenger side.
Pipes are not connected the other side as no engine at the moment so can't tell which would naturally reach to which.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter, but move to injection section where someone can check

The link comes up blank though.
I've been on minispares and the description of pipes is 1 straight.1 shaped. Which is what I have.
I'm sure once the engine is fitted and cooling system connected it will become clear as one of the pipes will probably not reach the further connector of the matrix.
I'm just trying to do it the other way round so would be easier to know and fit now.

Did you ever figure it out?

I was reading this recently and it suggests you want the hot going in the back connection and out the front.

Fitment of an auxiliary radiator will help if the two-core is not enough - say on a race or rally car. Use the matrix out of the heater box, and plumb this in going from the heater tap take-off, into the back fitting of the matrix, then out of the front fitting and into the bottom hose. If you pass the water coming out of the heater tap take-off down the front of the matrix first, you will be blowing hot air across the water going back out of the matrix and into the engine.
