Its been a while. I believe I first came here in 2009 kept my mini on the road for a year and then rolled him into a garage and spent every Wednesday evening on him till I was happy. 7 years later I have him complete (yes its a He, it came with a number plate with the words Mr Green and it stuck).
Started life as a Mini sprite 1275. I have in my own taste cooper-ised it. Full leather trim etc and lots of bits from DSN. I did a few things on the engine and have lurked on here reading the guides and problem solving to help me through. The engine now has 1.5.1 rockers, HIF 44 instead of a 38 with a K&N, Maniflow inlet manifold and exhaust system and I polished the head (was not confident enough to port). Completely stripped and rebuilt the engine too. Took him on the rolling road for a quick tune up this weekend and he is doing 53HP at the wheel. For me this is an achievement from just reading up and following all the great guides on here and vizards.
Thought I would share some photos of him too. I hope to be at more events this year and be a bit more active on the forums!
