Wanting some advice!

Looking at buying a Maniflow exhaust when payday rolls around.

Looking at 2" twin boxes vs 2" single side exit.

i've looked on youtube to find that the cheaper single box has a nice raspy sound BUT at a constant speed is this going to be annoying and too loud?

Oh and any photos of the 2inch exhausts would  be cool!

I've had a 1.75'' twin box side exit, with mini sport pro flo manifold, and it was really quiet. I've got a single box side exit 1.75'', with maniflow cooper freeflow manifold going on next. Personal preference really. I bought my car with a 2'' single box system which was quite loud.

Loud and really annoying. Stick with a twin box and drop the diameter abit

can't comment on 2" as mines 1.75 but I noticed very little difference between single and twin box (with an otherwise standard 998) there is slightly more noise on the overrun with the single box but other than that i didn't notice much. My mini is a 79 so doesn't have any real sound deadening like some later ones as well

What engine is it?  Unless it is 120bhp+ then a 2" system will be too big and you'll be throwing away power.

The ideal diameter are small bore engine: 1-3/4"; big bore engine: 1-7/8"

The fact that this question was posted in the styling section suggests your not concerned about the best system from a performance perspective ???? Exhausts are not actually there to look good !!! :-)

I thought an exhaust was solely for making that bwarrrppp noise? I'm not too fussed on power gains as its a 998cc and have a daily with a nice bit of power. The mini is just something for the weekend. Thanks to those that have commented on noise -  will be going for the twin box i think and will look at a smaller diameter :)

I've got the twin box system and it's plenty throaty enough. It's got a nice rimmed edge too :-)

I do love a rimmed edge.
