What are your thoughts on prices for mk3 minis in general?

Bought one few weeks ago under1k a 75 was shocked when I won,as Neil says they are going up in price not the right time to buy as they seem to be the in thing.wait untill they start falling in price trust me they will drop been buying and selling for years

I'm actually thinking about selling mine. Just wondering what sort of price to sell at if I do. Maybe I will put a few pictures up and see.

Now personally i would see that punching at around the £5k mark. I take it its a 1275 sitting there.

No its the original 998cc but completely rebuilt with

fresh +60 overbore.
New minispares flat top pistons.
New Kent 266 camshaft timed in at 106 degrees.
New cam followers.
New oil pump.
New cam bearings.
New thrust bearings.
New core plugs.
Crank reground 10 thou.
New main and Big end bearings.
12g295 head fully refurbished with new guides, new unleaded seats, new valves where needed.
Fully rebuilt remote gearbox by John.
New Road lightened minispares flywheel.
New pressure plate,release bearing, flat springs and steel minispares backpkate.
New transfer gear oil seal.
New clutch arm,clevis pins, slave cylinder, plunger and return spring.
New minispares vernier duplex timing gear set.
New minispares 2 core rad.
New minispares 1.3 cooper s rocker set on thicker shaft.
Fully refurbished original 25d dizzy with recurved advance.
New alternator.
New water pump.
Hif38 carb rebuilt with Aaa needle.
New Pipercross air filter.
New engine mounts.
Engine cr calculated at 9.5/1
Pistons flush to deck, 25cc chambers.

Does this change anything?

Nope with that little list i still see it sitting at around £5k. Lovely little car.

You'll have to forgive me if I imagined this, but didn't you sell this before, then regreted it and ended it up buying it back again?

True but times change and I am thinking about getting another one that I can play about with. I don't want to mess with an early mk3. Maybe my next one could be a daily for me. Just toying with the idea at the moment
