Hi all,

what do you use to grind, sand, remove rust etc in those hard to reach areas / corners ?

I'm having a job trying to reach around the top shock mount in the rear arches.

thanks.

Pete.

with what type of bit ?

Carbide burs. They come in different shapes to suit all areas.

Decent ones do rip in though so be careful you don't grind too deep.

They can also kick too so hold tight!

Always wear eye protection as they do throw swarf around a fair bit

I use a dremel (or should i say dremel impersonator) with burrs.

They are super useful tools as you can get tiny cutting discs too which are very useful for getting into tight spaces in conjuction with the flexible extension.

This is the one I have: https://www.machinem...a1WQaAhTd8P8HAQ

I got the burrs (tungsten I think) cheap from ebay.

I have both of those, but mcalistair ones.

The band one doesn't get into those far reach corners and on the faux dremel i've only ever used cutting discs. I went out at lunch time and got some carbide bit things and will give it a try

thanks all
