Hello .
Got a wing aerial from somerford mini.
Stainless steel.
This easy to fit from.under wheel arch?

Yes. You need to drill a hole of the correct size, and apply plenty of rust protection, of whatever sort you use. The metal body of the antenna does need to make good metallic contact with the body.

 

You will also need to drill another hole for the wiring grommet. Use plenty of sealant. That can be high up in the inner wing so it comes through behind the dash liner.

 

If your car has holes already drilled, with blanking plugs fitted, it is even easier.

 

I had an electric retracting one on my MK3. That, being heavier, needed a couple of supplied metal strips anchored to the inner wing to stabilise it. Nowadays I would use Rivnuts for that, but in those days it was self tappers.
