I have painted my car in tweed grey celly,

appeared to be a good finish until i started wet sanding it back.

it has tiny white specks where the paint hasn't taken correctly.

i was looking to flat it back and apply a few more coats of celly,

my question really is would i be able to apply directly to the celly once flatted back or would i have to re-apply the primer?

Thanks

im no expert ( lol ) .. but i would worry what caused it not to stick in those spots , and will it again , obviously you can just try again, but you might find you have to go deeper to key surface

Take a picture as it sounds like polish spots? If so you really need to take it right back then panel wipe it down and try again.

If the paint is not adhered to the primer it could be moisture in the airline, have you drained your compressor lately, check the water trap is empty, wet flat 600 with soap and re-coat.

Thanks for the comments,

I've got the easter week off work so I plan to flat it back and put on another 4-5 coats on i think.

hopefully the weather will be like it is this week!

I'm also going to drain my compressor and purchase a new air line too.

You need a water trap about 4.5 + meters after the compressor for best results.

The distance allows the air to cool enough for water droplets to form so fitted directly to the tank is a waste of time.

I have got a water trap directly before the hose attaches to my spray gun, hopefully this will be okay
