Couldn't agree more with this dude....^^^^^^^^^^^^^.

But lets get real folks....it's not aimed at us is it?  It's aimed at the overly rich with too much cash who doesn't 'really' know cars. It's a fashion item....nothing more than a handbag or watch.

Why de-seam it too?  Not the best look in my eyes and looses some of the originals charm. Perhaps it is something to do with copyright.....same reason for the rear lights.

Not a fan, and for that money i'd buy a new shell, and build something far more spectacular and imaginative for half the price.

I think it's lovely, I hope someone starts producing interior kits similar to that.

Not a fan I'm sad to say. Hate the lights, not sure on the seams either. I like the switch panel though.

Don't know if it's already been posted but you have to provide them with a mini don't you? That beige coloured one is a Black MPi Cooper according to the reg.

Really I thought they'd be brand new, with brand new regs.

Even the last MPi Mini spec would not meet current safety and emission regs for new cars and even if it was possible I believe they would have to get permission from BMW to build and sell completely new cars.

Companies do get permission. W&P did a 50th anniversary edition. There's also a company in the midlands somewhere that does literally brand new cars but with Honda engines in.

Yes, it's £20 or so k of parts, buts it's the labour that ramps the price up. They are quoting over a 1000 hours per car, for a bespoke coach builder, £40 a hour is prob cheap. Then ad in the costs of iva'ing it, warranty etc and it's not an unreasonable figure.

Hideous in every respect. Rear end is a total disaster. Like something out of 1970s Custom Car mag.
If I had 50K to blow on a toy it would be Gp4 Escort.

Not for me on both counts, the mini and the foul reincarnation of the DB5, but as people have said the market is not joe public it's the super rich, who buy crap like this on a whim. The depreciation is going to be horrific.Money can't buy you certain things two of them are good taste and class, both these cars lack either.

Deseamed, filled skuttle and horrid rear lights. Add to the fact they don't seems to know how many gears it has and I'm out. Is it 4 is it 5 and then they want 50k nah on yer bike dash is nice though
