Hi,

I want to commission a dashboard from my carpenter FIL but he obviously needs as detailed templates/dimensions as possible. I could take the current dashboard out but it's a lot of messing around.

I've seen a couple of less-than-ideal templates on the internet. Does any one have a link to properly detailed templates for a LHD?

Here is the exact dashboard I have: https://photos.googl...HZXbmRScUFKaW9B

I've found this but it doesn't seem accurate.

I have two but one isn't the style you are looking for.

This one I think came from TMF ( I think it's just the mirror image of the one you have )

Attached File  amaturenbrett_mini.pdf   130.34K   67 downloads

This one may have come from the Ausmini Forum ( a different style)

Attached File  Mini_Dashboard_v2_small_led_RHD.pdf   62.19K   73 downloads

If your going for the same look but new I'd just take yours out and have it re-veneered It will be cheaper than having a new one made but still look like new?

It's just that I want to drive the car while the new one is being made up.

Maybe I just don't know how to read these templates but why isn't there any thickness measurements? Also, isn't the side profile missing? As far as I know there's an angle bezel on the back facing inwards.

I can't answer for the thickness question. Yes the side profiles are missing. I didn't make these drawings. I just tend to collect things like these. I believe these were intended to be patterns for cutting the flat parts of the dash and locating the various holes rather than full construction drawings. I have the Japanese style dash in my Mini so I'm not much help for the style dash you are looking build.
