Has anyone fitted one of these?

I purchased one last week but the profile of the back of it isn't as curved as the bootlid on my Mini, so has gaps at either end.

When compared to the original its a slightly different shape.

Will get a pic sorted later to help describe.

Anyone else had similar issues?

(Standard mk5 bootlid and the housing was for mk3 onwards)

fitted one to mine the other day and it went on without a problem. There was a plastic/rubber insert that went between bootlid and housing to take up any space

Well, I have the rubber gasket but the back profile is too flat. The standard housing has a slight curve to match the boot lid.

Standard quality of cheap aftermarket parts for the mini I'm afraid 😡
