I've just downsized from a Merc estate that I've had to drive for work purposes for the last 14 years to a 2007 Mini Cooper S - put the fun back into driving.  I'm loving the drive and road holding and - so far - not missing the luggage capacity!!

As you'd expect with a 10 yr old car, although it's in excellent condition, there are a few issues that I'd like to get sorted so that everything is as it should be.

I look forward to conversing with you guys - and probably learning a thing or two

best

Richard

I swear people from Mini2 just sign up every few days to harass everyone.

There should be a more straight forward statement at registration.

If your Mini was registered after 2000, THIS FORUM IS NOT FOR YOU, ALSO, IF YOUR MINI WAS MADE BY BMW, THIS FORUM IS NOT FOR YOU.

Patently, nothing subtle works.

It's not really harassment, is it? Just Bini owners [who IMO have already made a wrong decision in their lives] getting lost to come here. And these days they outnumber us!

If it helps the OP, I too have enjoyed several Benz wagen. I've downsized even further than you and drive a car that is even more fun and involving with no less practical space!

Perhaps at registration we should include one of those anti-bot softwares where you have to identify three of six photographs. "Which of these photos shows a picture of a Mini?" All the photos would have images of cars - pre or post 2001 car types - but you'd soon see what people thought a Mini should look like!

Isn't there a question about when was the last Mini made???

Are people seriously Googling that fact about the classic Mini and then continuing to sign up and post anyway??

Maybe it needs a picture option:

"Click on your model of Mini"

If you want to be picky, with the red classic being a sports pack, technically all 3 are bmw minis...
