Wow. That's a lot of white filler dust :)
Interesting to see the deseaming welds. Didn't realize that was a thing.

Unfortunately yes, don’t know why you’d want to deseam a Mini but each to their own.

I would probably get those tyres removed before selling the wheels. Looking at the date codes it looks like they're from the 90s. Wouldn't want to risk the new owner using them on the road.

Good luck with the project though. Following with interest.

That looks like mine did around the A post and floor. It’s a voyage of rot discovery, I started with the floor replacement and then onto the boot which I didn’t think needed replacing. If I did it again I would start at the boot and work forward.
Good luck.

Thanks for your reply, out of curiosity why would you start at the rear and work forward?

Yes I’ll check them out thanks. The tyres on the Wellers are old but the tyres on the new wheels are around 2007 I think.

Floors and boot are easier to do on rollover jig. The car is also shorter to handle and less chance of damaging front panels.

The car also needs to be off the jig to set the front correctly (gleaned from many posts on here).

It is however personal choice.

Good idea. The rear seams need reintegrating along with boot floor, mind you so do rear arch tubs, and with the shock tops in the mix it may need some thought.

Thought i'd post an update as not been on the forum in a while. Had a quick look yesterday and some people are making some great progress on their Mini's.

Mine has taken a bit of a back burner recently. A combination of the wife not being well, three kids to look after and another purchase! A 1969 VW Beetle that I couldnt say no too. All legal and on the road, so will fill my classic driving itch until the Mini gets done. Needs a little bit of tidying and small jobs done but not too bad at all. Ill upload a photo when back at home.
