I am in a pickle. I don't have time to restore my shell and therefore I am looking around for a good restoration shop within 50miles or so from Milton Keynes.

It needs a new floor and a number of typical mini issues as well as a full respray.

I am looking for some recommendations and advice. I like Somerford Mini but they are very far away.

We use a recovery company that are very competitively priced.
However we do have a waiting list at Somerford Mini :)

I had mine done at www.covics.co.uk/ Absolutely top drawer job but there is a waiting list (as with all good places)

Thank you for the input guys.

Alex, I have a van that I can use but I'm not keen on taking all the way for a quote to find it is well out of my price range. Even a ball park figure would help. With the waiting list would Somerford store the shell whiles it waits. I want to only make one trip.

Bung, they are much closer. Thank you for the recommendation. I'll check them out.

I did the quote part on mine with photos initially which gave a ballpark figure but with mini's rust lurks waiting to appear when panels are removed. I waited for him to have space then arranged to move the car to him to work on.

I ended up getting bodywork wise (deep breath) Scuttle, bonnet, wings, front panel, both a panels, inner and outer cills with door steps each side, door skins, rear valance along with repairs to the front inner wheel arches under the air vents and rear three quarter panels repaired.

I'm not going to lie it took a while and cost a reasonable amount but I wasn't in a desperate rush for it and the quality of workmanship is spot on.

If you call them the mobile is probably the best number to call.

Thank you for the advice. There is no rush but it needs to be done right and not cost the fortune.

Not used them but DD Mini specialist is near MK, I follow them on Facebook as I may take my Mini there. I think he is on here. Looks like good work from the pics on Facebook
