Hi all

Just purchased a minisport camber kit off a member on here.

Does anyone know what camber you can achieve with this kit? Is the max 2 degrees or more?

I believe they give up to 1.5

I can't remember the supplier now but I wanted to know this too and that's what I was told, so I ended up fitting some -1.5 fixed ones I already had instead, even then I could do with a tiny bit more so may file the hole out a bit

Rear.
I haven't fitted yet but wasn't sure on the variations it would give.
It's not really for handling just more for looks. Don't want anything stupid like you see on some of the drift cars but something noticeable to the few who know....

Unless you can categorically prove your statement and post it here then i will be issuing a warning point.

Matt if it purely for style then it may be preferable for you to weld penny washer higher on the original arms. That will give you a higher level of negative camber over what the brackets will give (assuming is neg you want)

 

But I will say I would not recommend or condone it as there will be stress on the radius arms, suspension etc etc as well as tyre wear, insurance issues I could go on but I'm sure you get the picture. 

 

Now personally If I was you I would get a spare pair of brackets. weld the washer higher and fit them when you want the stanced look i.e: shows.

 

then keep the adjustable ones to set the alignment at the recommended numbers.

Although if 1.5 degrees of negative camber isn't enough, you could always fit a set of these for a bit more... >_<

You can go from negative to positive camber every 180 degree revolution.

 

 

(And no I'm not being serious)

It's purely for the low I'm after. Don't want anything silly just noticeable to those who would know what they are looking at.
I've fitted the minisport ones (with minor modifications to the mounting holes) and it seems like it's enough but will keep an eye on it. The car barely does more than 200 miles pet year so wear and tear isn't a major issue for now.

I don't want to stir up a hornets nest here, I'm also assuming it's the rear trailing arm brackets you mean? I recently bought a set of Minisport camber/toe adjustable brackets for fitting to quickly set my rear suspension, I'm getting her checked for 4 wheel alignment next week and if my rear brackets need re-shimming to get the settings I want then I'm going to have these ready to fit at the garage. I examined the brackets that I got as I had noticed a few comments on here about the Minisport ones and I did notice a couple of very small hairline cracks on the brackets where they've been bent when forming them. I'm going to take them and re-examine them and any cracks that I find then I'll make small cuts with a cutting disc or hacksaw and then drill out the ends of the cracks then weld them back up. They are made from quite thick steel plate so that's probably why they seem to have these small cracks, with a little work I feel they'll be safe enough to use. I can't comment on any evidence or proof of these failing.
