Does anyone know what offset the GKN silverstone 12" Alloys that were on the 1275gt Challenge car? I believe they were 5" wide but fitted under the arches without any aditional arch extensions.

I certainly do, the 12" wheels are marked e22.2 which refers to the offset, and are 5" wide.

I've also verified the offset with a CAD model I made.

The 10" versions came in both disc and drum offset (e15.5)

All the racers where required to run arches as they where very strict back then regarding tyre poke.

This is the most famous example, the original Richard Longman BSCC winning 1275GT

Although saying this I've run 2 cars with these wheels on 165 tyres and no arches for the last few years. It's a point of contention as they do poke out a little. But I much prefer the look, and think they really suit the car with no arches.

You can definitely see a little poke but it's not ridiculous, and I've never any bother from either my MOT tester or the police.

I even asked a friendly officer once and he didn't have any issue.

Hope this helps you.
