Took out my starter to have it refurbed.  I ordered some new lights for the gauges so i took out the gauge pod and changed bulbs. wanted to test the lights out to make sure they were working.  Hooked up the battery, i had disconnected it when i was taking out the starter, turned the key to auxillary power and nothing. turned on hazards and headlights and nothing worked. Could it be that because the starter is out nothing has any power?

thanks

Greg

your power cable goes straight to the starter motor, then to the body's loom. My guess is that your battery is now no longer connected to the car.
