"What’s the mythical Level 5?

In that scenario a vehicle is capable of navigating roads without any driver input.

Levels 3 and 4 still need a steering wheel and a licensed driver who can take over if the need should arise.

Levels 1 and 2 are more or less various states of great cruise control.

Confused? Luckily BMW has made a handy video demonstrating each of the advanced stages of autonomy..........."

not a fan

anyone remember the tale of a Winnebago driver who set auto cruise , on the freeway ,

then  went to the kitchen to  make a sandwich

rumor has it , the side of a bridge made him see the error of his ways

I heard the above , when I  worked for a Winnebago dealer years ago , but have since heard it was bull ?

in his head , he's Schumacher behind the wheel of his beemer

in reality , he is a liability to normal traffic - so yes level 5 at least

In all fairness though the truck driver is quite clearly in the wrong and obviously lying.

Frank Baressi, 62, the driver of the truck said the Tesla driver was “playing Harry Potter on the TV screen” at the time of the crash

He acknowledged he couldn’t see the movie.
