Hello,

I have a K&N filter in the genuine air filter box, but the noise is very present in the car under acceleration :X

Is it normal ?

The car always got this filter since 10 years / 10.000 kilométers (I'm from France)

I clean the filter but it is still noisy.

Any advice please ? :shy:

Are all the clips present which hold the 2 parts of the airbox together?

How have you diagnosed the problem to be the filter ??

What type of noise is it ?

How different does it sound to a Blown exaust or manifold leak ??

Are there any other symptoms ?

Is the car running well ?

Has the noise started since you put the K&N filter in the housing or has it become noisy over time?

I found one of my exhaust bolts on the head was loose causing a lot of noice, could be that? also make sure filter housing is flat and secure

Hello Nu2mini and Jamesquintin

Maybe you are wright because I didn't notice that noise before,

But the noise is only Under full acceleration

I know that I had to repair the braided part Under the manifold just before the Cat.

If the braided part is used could it be that noise ?

install the old filter and see if it is the same. If not, then it's the filter. The K&N replacement filter is a little noisier, but shouldn't be too much.
