Hello All,

Looking for a little advice, what's the best practice for panel prep?

I have bought a full floor assembly, as i am not a welder and figured it was easier than buying all the panels to then pay to have them welded together. I would however like to get the panel prepped as i read somewhere that people remove the stuff that comes on it?

So.....what do i need to do this? Any help is greatly appreciated :D

First you need to tell us who made the floor. Heritage, Magnum or M-Machine?

Then hopefully someone will be along soon to advise on the quality of the coating and whether it needs to be removed.

Magnum panel, remove the coating.

Heritage, have a good look over it to make sure there are no spider tracks of rust other than that give it a good key and keep it on.

M Machine tend to come bare metal, if that is the case you need to give it a good coat of epoxy primer.

Thank you for the replies

The panels are Heritage (read they are the best to get as they fit easier).

I will give them a good look over and look for spider tracks, certainly makes things a little easier, cheers :highfive:
