its just an out and out a race car for the road,
Yeah the boot floor i don't want to come up to the arches, i want it to be properly flat, so will have to build new arches, but i think they will have to be deeper so they can house the radius arms to as they look like they will foul otherwise.
Is carls main shell all steel with a cage ?

main shell yes but that was it as it had to comply with regs.
Re boot floor think on, where are you taking it from? and to where? you can buy carbon or Fiberglass inserts there you just cut most of the floor out.
not suitable to take a load from a fuel tank or battery. And not OK for some Comp Regs.

imho, make a space framed car, cut it all up and then make it look like,,,, then at least you have a chance of being safe in a crash....
i just sold a cr250 anderson kart, it broke my heart, but ive come a ong way with out doing myself any major [except alcohol ] damage...
hope its works out light!

Rusty van, it will be in essence be a spaceframe, it picks up all the mounting points with the cage so everything else can be chopped about, the only reason i dont want a F/G shell is because it will all flap about and be a pain/ i can't pass it off as a mini really,
Nick, hoping to take the floor from the heelboard to the seam where the velance would be if i had one, completely flat, I was thinking of rolling some sheet for the arches and once iv fitted the beam seeing what i need to chop to make it work, out of interest what does yours weigh in at ?

ok then i would modify the inner arches (if you are doing coilovers then i would do it to new ones). i would cut the bottom (boot floor contact surface) flat as it would make the job easier. or cut a big square hole and insert a square "box" and trim the edges to suit.
also think on if you want to fit a "diffuser" have a read through my rebuild thread
last build was in at 550-570kg i forget but more likely to be 570kg but i am having to build to a different set of regs where there is a minimum weight so having to add circa 100kg! so rebuild has added some and the rest will be lead sheet if needed.
