so then I started another, a Series 2 this time. I felt the standard length looks a little short for the scale so extended this one by four inches. This meant re-designing the rear brakes but otherwise worked out fine except that it's a very tight fit in my small van if I want to transport it anywhere!
I had all sorts of problems when I tried to save money by gloss rolling the paint rather than using cellulose as before. The finish was nowhere near as good so I sanded it all back ready for primer and cellulose. The primer reacted with what was left of the first paint so I then had to take it right back to bare MDF. Took weeks! %5BIMG%5Dhttp://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j32/johnR21/001_zpsxf9a4emc.jpg Electrics were fun with horn, brake lights, side and headlamps on separate circuits as well as the 24v motor. I made a copy of a period aftermarket switch for the indicators that I'm very pleased with - fiddly to weld though!%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j32/johnR21/003_zpsnkfq4bqx.jpgIt's now virtually finished and will be going on sale to make room for the next project.%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j32/johnR21/006_zps1dc4n0sb.jpg%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j32/johnR21/005_zps8n5zlls2.jpg
